Did you know that the St. Vincent de Paul – Joe Latina pantry isn’t the only place that you can get assistance for your pet? We encourage you to check out the Humane Society of Tampa Bay and see the many benefits they have to offer pet owners in need. Here is a summary of services offered by the Humane Society of Tampa Bay, located at 3607 N Armenia Ave., Tampa, 33607.
The Humane Society of Tampa Bay!

Animal Hospital:
The Animal Hospital (Animal Health Center) at the Humane Society of Tampa Bay was opened in 2012 to provide our community with affordable options in the care of their pets. The full-service, high-quality hospital can accommodate medical care ranging from routine vaccinations and health checks to diagnostics and special surgeries.
The Animal Hospital is open Monday – Saturday from 8a-3p.
Animeals:
One of our core values is to serve the community with optimism, integrity, compassion, and respect for all humans AND animals. Out of this passion for people and their pets, our Animeals program was created. Animeals is a program that delivers monthly dog and cat food supplies to homebound and elderly citizens who cannot travel to our shelter.
Animeals started after a Meals on Wheels driver reported to their supervisor that the people on their routes were feeding half of their delivered meals to their animals because they could not shop for pet food. Meals on Wheels reached out to HSTB with this concern, and together, Animeals was created to provide pets with the proper nutrition while ensuring their humans can eat their entire meals.
Pet Pantry:
For Tampa Bay citizens who are struggling to care for their pets, we offer free dog and cat food at our shelter every Tuesday and Saturday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
In addition to food, we now offer collars, leashes, beds, and more!
Affordable Adoption Prices:
The Humane Society of Tampa Bay offers affordable adoption prices for deserving animals at the shelter every day. Adopting a new pet gives families so much joy and love while providing that dog, cat, rabbit or pocket pet with a forever home. When you choose to adopt a pet, you give them what they deserve, a safe and loving place to call home. Every pet has their own unique personality traits and just needs that special person (or family) to take care of them.
All senior citizens 65+ will receive 50% off any adoption fee.
The Saint Vincent de Paul Joe Latina Center at Corpus Christi Church is grateful for the generous support of Car Credit and its owner, philanthropist, Steve Cuculich. “It’s wonderful to see the dedication of so many volunteers working to help their neighbors in need,” says Cuculich, “I’m humbled and proud to offer some help.”
